The Loom Introduce Smoldering Self-Help Video For ‘Fire Makes’

The Loom is back with its sophomore album, Here in the Deadlights, which came out on Crossbill Records/Stererocilia on April 22nd.
Produced by Kevin McMahon (Titus Andronicus, Real Estate), the album represents a shift in focus from the band's debut Teeth. Shapes are altered and sounds take a more psychedelic, foreboding direction. Tinges of Kraut-rock flavor organs, synths, and wordplay tangle the listener's subconscious with a clash of angular guitars and horns that hook the hell out of everything. The Loom is truly stepping up.
The album's lead single "Fire Makes" is a clear gesture of tonal quality. It's grim, it's hopeful, it's light, and it's grainy. ARTISTdirect Interviews invited The Loom's John Fanning to introduce the video, to offer insight into the process, the inspiration, and the reality of the non-reality of the piece.
