The Replacements Record Four Covers for Vinyl EP

The Replacements recorded four cover songs in a "semi-reunion," since it wasn't all original members, that will be released later this year as a limited edition 10-inch vinyl EP.
But get 'em while they are hot, since 250 copies will auctioned online, and the proceeds will benefit Slim Dunlap, the band's guitarist from 1987 to 1991, who had a severe stroke in February.
According to FMQB, singer Paul Westerberg and bassist Tommy Stinson spent a September day in a Minneapolis studio cutting the songs. Drummer Chris Mars wanted no parts of the reunion, though. Westerberg expressed surprise and disappointment at that fact. We would too, since the cause was a good one.
Instead, Peter Anderson played the drums and Kevin Bowe, who was in Westerberg's solo band the last time he toured, played guitar.
Are you going to try and nab one of these puppies?
