The Roots Suffer Minor Injuries in Bus Accident

The Roots are currently recovering from a tour bus crash that occurred on the way to Paris this past Wednesday. In a blog posting about the accident, drummer Ammir "?uestlove" Thompson wrote, "In reality the crash was all of about seven seconds, but to do a 360 on the highway and end up ramped up (the van that crashed into ours was UNDER our double decker bus) in the air... is... well... a frigging miracle."
The fate of the group's forthcoming tour dates is unclear at the moment—some members suffered minor injuries—although it appears things will go on as planned, beginning with a gig tonight in Lille, France.
In other news, an MTV.com report has stirred rumors of the Roots' involvement in Jimmy Fallon's Late Night takeover next year. In a not-so-subtle hint at their potential house band gig, Thompson said, "I'mma love my new home at 30 Rock. Two visits and I'm already on a first-name basis with the SNL cats."
