It's lonely out there on the road a la carte.
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, The Who's Roger Daltrey says that while he is happy to be heading out on a solo tour this summer, he'd prefer it was a Who trek. He also said that the band members are having typical health issues with their ears and their throats.
"Pete [Townshend] is having terrible hearing problems at the moment. I've also had a voice scare. There's nobody I'd rather be on stage with than Pete. But equally, I don't want to be on stage with him destroying the last bit of his hearing. That would be completely foolish. He's a composer," Daltrey said.
Daltrey also revealed that he and Townshend may have had their share of differences throughout their long and successful career, but that they don't suffer from lead singer/lead guitarist hatred! He said, "Behind the scenes we're the best of friends. We're like brothers. Not to say we get on with each other all the time, but if we were ever in trouble, you know that we'd both be there for each other. That's all that matters."
