Them Crooked Vultures, the supergroup that boasts Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones, Foo Fighter Dave Grohl and Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme amongst its ranks, are planning to work on new material for a second album. Yay! It wasn't just a one off.

Jones told the BBC that they're "gonna write pretty quickly and just put it down," adding that they are a year away from completing the follow-up to their 2009 self-titled debut. Ok, so it'll be quick, but it'll take a year? Maybe Jones has a different definition of "quick" than, say, the rest of the planet.

Jones explained the second set will "mainly be excess material from the first album – material we started and never finished because we had to go and play the stuff we already recorded."

Do you like Them Crooked Vultures and the bands in their pedigree?
