Thirty Seconds to Mars who were just nominated for four 2010 MTV Video Music Awards for the videos for "Kings & Queens," but they are wasting now time getting back into the visual game! The band, of course fronted by actor Jared Leto, premiered the new video for their latest single "Closer to the Edge." Check it out here.
The video was directed by Bartholomew Cubbins -he also directed "Kings & Queens"- and the clip was shot live in 89 cities throughout 27 countries during the first leg of the band's hugely successful "Into the Wild" world tour where they played in front of over 1.3 million ecstatic fans. If you missed any of the Thirty Seconds to Mars dates, this video is enough to make you feel like you were there, in the flesh, rocking out, sweating, singing along and staring right into Leto's eyes!
But if the video for "Closer to the Edge" isn't enough for you, you are in luck! A second U.S. leg of the tour will begin on August 30 in Syracuse, NY. A complete list of tour dates can be found at www.30secondstomars.com. It was announced last week that the video for the first single "Kings & Queens" from the band's new album This Is War was nominated for Four VMA's including Video of the Year, Rock Video of the Year, Director of the Year and Best Art Direction.
