The music world was at full tilt this week, with some of the biggest artists on the map releasing new songs. Kanye West is officially back. West dropped two tracks this week, one featuring Miley Cyrus that was recorded way back in 2013, and a brand new piece with everyone's favorite Compton cat, Kendrick Lamar.

Sia was also busy this week, releasing "Unstoppable" from her upcoming album, This Is Acting (Inertia/Monkey Puzzle/RCA), due out January 29. Iggy Pop got together with Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme to record his seventeenth studio LP, Post Pop Depression (Loma Vista, March 18), and revealed "Gardenia."

Speaking of longtime hard rockers who released new music this week, Chris Cornell gave us the smoldering, "'Til The Sun Comes Back Around." Meanwhile, old-reliable, M. Ward, continued to showcase what we can expect from his first solo album since 2012, More Rain (Merge), unveiling "Confession." Cass McCombs fans got to hear exactly what The Skiffle Players sound like with the release of "Omie Wise."

And that was only the beginning for what was a week truly hell-bent on leather to release new music. There were also debuts from Wild Nothing, AlunaGeorge, Japanese Breakfast, Poliça, Designer + Four Tet, Matthew E. White (featuring Natalie Prass), Tourist, and DIIV.
