LA's future funk brothers Thrillers are offering their new single "Can't Get Enough" for free. It is the first single from their debut EP, Cotton Candy Kisses, out in August.
Free music is good. Free, good music is better. Why not DL the song and add it to your Fourth of July playlist? Good idea, right?
Before you listen and DL the song, here is the intel.
The four-piece group is led by blood brothers Jeremy and Gregory "Floyd" Pearson. Their passion for music began during childhood, as they were raised in a single-parent household in Charlotte, N.C., and fell in love with music watching their mother sing in funk and gospel bands. For Jeremy's high school graduation gift, Floyd got him a Fender Stratocaster – and the two brothers have been performing together ever since.
Now that's what we call a musical family.
Their new EP is influenced by new wave rock and early-'80s soul. Combining the sounds of '80s funk idols like Billy Ocean, Isaac Hayes, and Cameo, with the electronic influences of the late 2000s, the group wanted to capture a signature sound that can be best described as "future funk."
"It's dedicated to the thrill, love, and the essence of beautiful women; it's us in our most vulnerable state," explained Jeremy Pearson.
"Our music captures a feeling. We want people to remember that feeling for the rest of their lives. That spine tingling feeling," added Gregory Pearson.
We can't get enough of that feeling.
