Tickets for this year's Virgin Mobile FreeFest have been "freed out," as opposed to sold out, since you can't sell out of something that isn't being purchased, but fans can still nab tickets by volunteering their time at homeless youth shelters in Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia through The RE*Generation program, Virgin Mobile's charitable initiative focused on ending youth homelessness.
The 2011 Virgin Mobile FreeFest presented by Kyocera will take place on Saturday, September 10th at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD, with The Black Keys, Deadmau5, Cee Lo Green, Big Sean, TV on the Radio and many more taking the stage. So, you can get into the show for free, but you can also donate your time to a worthy cause!
"FreeFest has always been about giving back," said Felicia Hill, manager of Viral Campaigns & Brand Initiatives, Virgin Mobile USA. "We give the public an awesome free show and we hope that concert-goers will pay it forward. Whether it be giving a donation or actually volunteering to earn a ticket, we’re encouraging fans and customers to help young people less fortunate than themselves."
Are you going to try attend Virgin Mobile FreeFest and do some charity work for the homeless?
