Timber! Music Festival will premiere this July 26 and 27 in Carnation, Washington.
The festival brings nationally renowned Northwest artists like The Helio Sequence, The Fruit Bats, Quasi, Noah Gundersen, Lemolo, Bryan John Appleby and more to a verdant natural setting in King County's Tolt-MacDonald Park.
Curated and directed by the folks behind the Doe Bay Music Festival and Slackfest, Timber! Music Festival features their trademark innovative and family-friendly programming touches, like a root beer garden for the kids, stargazing with an astrophysicist at night and a stage lit by campfires in the evening.
How cool is that? It's certainly not your average festival.
And although the lineup features some well-known folks, another aspect of Timber! Music Festival is the tireless work the organizers do reviewing the band applications and scouring the Northwest for new discoveries.
Breakout newcomers include hypnotically charismatic Portland folk singer Vikesh Kapoor (who's recently been touring with Alela Diane and Sam Amidon); frenetically happy jugband Jacob Miller & The Bridge City Crooners; breakout country songwriter Zoe Muth, returning to the NW from her new Austin home; underground indie discovery Ten Speed Music; and mad rock bandits Kithkin! It's a mix of old and new, and we like it.
Sound like your kinda fest? Visit the Timber Music Fest website for more details.
You know what time it is. If you could design your own festival, who would play it? Where would it be? When? No limits. No rules. No boundaries! Get creative!
