Under the name Children Beyond, Tina Turner, Regula Curti and Dechen Shak-Dagsay have teamed up with international direct-to-fan platform Pledge Music to release their new album, to make a contribution towards global peace and tolerance.
Together with 30 children from different cultures and nations, the three singers have recorded sung versions of twelve prayers and mantras from the religions Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism, Islam and Sikhism.
The rock legend leads the way with "The Calling" and together with the children, reminds listeners that "When you sing you do the right thing..." The wonderfully unique album ends with the song "Unity," interpreting the affirming formula of all world religions via the message "We are all one."
Children Beyond, the follow-up project to its predecessor Beyond (2009) -a major hit achieving platinum status in Germany, Austria and Tina's beloved Switzerland- was again released by Universal in these territories to amazing success in 2011.
Now a beautifully re-designed package is being launched for the world, which now includes a DVD of the making of, plus exclusive extras including signed copies, silver bracelets and more.
Pledge Music is providing the platform for the album to reach a global audience, this time direct to fans.
This direct-to-fan model was chosen by the artists, as they are passing on all proceeds to their respective foundations (the TINA Foundation, the SEESCHAU Foundation and the DEWA CHE Foundation) in equal amounts. In this way, the singers are supporting intercultural, peace-promoting projects in education and research for children and youths, as well as projects for children, mothers and women in distress.
Tina Turner said, "We want to take as many people as possible with us on this journey and create more tolerance and peace through our music."
More information about the project, along with messages from Tina, Regula, Dechen, His Holiness The Dalai Lama, and more, plus unique step-by-step videos for you and your child to experience this unique album can be found at: www.beyondsinging.com.
