Don Ho, the Hawaiian lounge crooner best known for his infectious ode to sparkling wine, "Tiny Bubbles," died Saturday in Honolulu of heart failure. He was 76.
The singer, who often joked that he hated his signature song, was an institution in the hotel bars and cocktail lounges of Waikiki Beach for more than 40 years. He made TV appearances on The Tonight Show, Charlie's Angels, his own short-lived daytime variety show, and perhaps most memorably, on The Brady Bunch during the TV clan's three-episode visit to Hawaii.
Despite having heart trouble for the past two years, Ho continued to perform tirelessly. His final show was at the Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel last Thursday, two days before his death.
