Tommy Hilfiger in Talks With Universal Music Group to Design Fashions For Bands

According to WWD, designer Tommy Hilfiger and Universal Music Group are in talks for Hilfiger to design and create fashions artists that fall under the Universal Music umbrella. Those artists include the likes of Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Kanye West, No Doubt, Gwen Stefani, Rihanna and The Rolling Stones. According to the report, the new Tommy Hilfiger fashion lines would debut in 2012.
Hilfger's youthful brand and aesthetic are a good fit for artists, that's for sure.
Tommy Hilfiger created MESH (Music, Entertainment, Sports Holdings) in July 2010 with a focus on music and entertainment. The first celebrities signed for fashions were Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony. The new Tommy Hilfiger line is aimed at women and men in their 20s.
