Like a Storm Videos
We countdown the five best bruisers from New Zealand chart-topping hard rock quartet!
Like A Storm have emerged as a massive rock radio success on their own terms in the past couple years. Their single "Love the Way You Hate" brought the New Zealand outfit—Chris Brooks [lead vocals, rhythm guitar, keys, programming, didgeridoo], Matt Brooks [lead guitar, lead vocals, keys, programming], Kent Brooks [bass], and now featuring drum extraordinaire Zach Wood—to the international prominence they've deserved since debuting in 2009. The band's latest full-length album, Awaken The Fire [Another Century], is locked and loaded with equally catchy and corrosive anthems, and it's going to live on for a long time. You've got to see the band live too. They've already smashed up stages with everybody from Creed and Alter Bridge to Staind. Expect to hear and see more soon. We decided to countdown our Top 5 Like A Storm songs in this exclusive feature.
Top 5 Like A Storm Songs
5. "Chemical Infatuation"
This is the one that started it all for the group. Their first single from 2009's The End of the Beginning introduced their ethereal and entrancing hard rock sound tempering a highly singable robust refrain with flourishes of electronics. Moreover, it boasted a hauntingly sexy music video that highlighted the quartet's singular aesthetic.

4. "Gangsta's Paradise"
In the middle of Awaken the Fire, Like A Storm veered down a different path altogether and cooked up an undeniable cover of Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise." It's a whole new dimension, adding big thick distortion to the banging and swinging groove. The band actually channels Michelle Pfeifer's intensity and anger from Dangerous Minds into the track.
