Trevor Sensor On The Meaning Of Life, Art, & 'Texas Girls And Jesus Christ'
Wed, 06 Apr 2016 08:58:47
Trevor Sensor is just 22 years of age, but with a voice and lyrical ability that usually takes an artist years to refine. His debut EP, Texas Girls and Jesus Christ, due March 25th via Jagjaguwar, is a modern set of folk songs that are filled with personal nuances and universal subject matter. The tone is of sawdust and emotional exploration, and the music is a clear signal of intent as to the artist's trajectory.
Having won a number of European fans, and more during Austin's just-wrapped South by Southwest, Sensor is preparing to return to the road with a series of dates around the U.K., starting in Brighton at the Great Escape Festival on May 20th. What better time to catch up with the artist for whom 2016 promises to be a big year.
