Trivium "Brave This Storm" Song Review — 5 out of 5 stars

It's Trivium's time.
2011's In Waves set extremely high with its innovative and inventive approach to the Florida quartet's patented infectious thrash. However, Vengeance Falls is shaping up to be a game-changer for not only the group but the entire genre.
The opening track kicks off with a neck-snapping six-string stomp galloping along with a pummeling double bass groove. Everything turns on a dime into a staggering groove swinging and out like a seesawing sledgehammer. Frontman Matt Heafy's snarl on the verse injects real venom into the assault before leading into an immediately irresistible refrain—"I don't think I can ever brave this storm".
Of course, everything spirals out into a mind-numbing salvo of leads worthy of shred history. David Draiman captured the band at their fiercest and most focused.
Every metal band experiences a moment that turns the tides when they launch to the top; this belongs to Trivium.
