Following in the line of Chance the Rapper who recently pulled out of his scheduled shows across the Atlantic this summer, Tyler, The Creator has just cancelled the European dates on his current tour. He was slated to perform at a number of concerts and festivals across the continent, including stops in Russia, Germany, Portugal, Spain, France, and the Netherlands. However, today he took to Twitter to announce the cancellation of the shows, saying, "No more europe tour, sorry, next time."
Tyler last released Cherry Bomb back in 2015. He spent much of last year touring with A$AP Rocky behind the album. The album marked his third consecutive trip into the top 5 of the Billboard 200. Whether this means he is stepping into the studio or not, still remains to be announced, but we certainly hope he is.
In good news for fans of Tyler, he recently announced that his annual music festival Camp Flog Gnaw will be returning to Exposition Park in Los Angeles, California in October. Tyler currently has two shows on the schedule for this summer. He is still set to play at Panorama in New York City, and then he will be performing at Mo Pop Festival in Detroit, Michigan.
Clearly, not getting the chance to see Tyler in Europe this summer is a big disappointment for fans, but we are certain the cancellations are for a good reason, and hopefully we will be receiving some new music in response.
