U2's 1987-released, universally loved album The Joshua Tree has been chosen for preservation by the Library of Congress. It is among 25 works that will join the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry (NRR).
Librarian of Congress James Billington said, "As technology continually changes and formats become obsolete, we must ensure that our nation's aural legacy is protected."
True dat! Or #Truth.
