While U2 were forced to axe their summer tour due to a back injury sustained by frontman Bono, which required emergency surgery, the band is finally getting "back" on its feet! The band is working on a new song while rehearsing for the next leg of the tour, which kicks of Friday in Torino, Italy! Let's hope that Bono doesn't hurt anything else during these rehearsals in a case of history repeating itself.

Rolling Stone reports that fans have been camping outside of the Olympic Hall Sports Stadium and have been posting audio of the new track as well as hearing snippets of older tracks like "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" and "Miss Sarajevo," which the band hasn't played in years. After touring Europe through October, U2 will return to the US on May 21, 2011. That's the greatest day ever, because it's my birthday. It's also quite a long time for U2 fans to wait to see the band on US soil but if you are a diehard U2 fan, it will be well worth the wait.

Will you be attending the rescheduled US dates?
