Ouch. Actress Ashley Judd is engaging in a bit of a war with hip-hop. Judd criticized hip-hop and called it "rape music" and now The Roots drummer ?uestlove responded to Judd's inflammatory statements. "hmmm. at least i got my answer as to why ash judd didn't give us so much as a nod on her last visit. im a criminal [sic]," the drummer wrote on Friday (Apr. 8) on his Twitter page.

Judd's new book All That Is Bitter, and Sweet reveals that life in the Judd family was not easy and she criticizes her mother Naomi's lifestyle. She also takes aim at artists like Snoop Dogg and Diddy for making music that is "the contemporary soundtrack of misogyny.

What do you think of Judd's sweeping generalizations about hip-hop?
