The UK's Sunday Times ran a lengthy story about Ozzy Osbourne, who underwent Genome testing earlier this year. The genetic test broke down and analyzed Ozzy's seemingly super-human DNA and traced his roots back thousands of years. The multi-page article ran this past weekend.
Here is what the test revealed:
A sample of blood was taken from Ozzy at his British abode. It was stabilized and overnighted to a lab in New Jersey. DNA was extracted from white blood cells, dissolved in salt and dispatched to St. Louis for further DNA testing. The DNA was chopped into 10 to 25 trillion pieces via a shaking method. Then, Ozzy's genome was studied to find out who he is on a chemical level. More tests were done and then sent to a Massachusetts lab. Six million letters in his genome were studied and eventually, it was discovered that Ozzy's ancient cousins lived in the Pompeii, an ancient Roman city, and probably survived the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.
Sounds to me like Ozzy has Italian roots.
