Calling all tattoo enthusiasts!
Thousands of art, music, entertainment and tattoo aficionados will congregate at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island as the world renowned dynamic husband-and-wife duo Tattoo Lou and Jackie Rubino proudly present the United Ink Summer Vibe Tattoo, Art and Music Festival 2014.
It's set for Friday, May 2 through Sunday, May 4. Not technically summer as the name of the event suggests, but...
It's also kid-friendly!
Completely open to the public and to all ages, and with a wide variety of things to do for all, it's the perfect day for the whole family. With music, entertainment, games, contests, tattooing demonstrations, an artist lounge, art exhibits and more, United Ink is unlike any other tattoo convention you've ever seen before! Sounds SUPER FUN!
Where else can you watch the world's best artists pierce and tattoo, and if you're in the market for new ink or piercings, let one of the globe's most talented artists use your body as their newest canvas -- right there on the spot.
Live tattoos and piercings will be offered at the event.
Also of interest, straight from Italy there will be many interesting tattoo artists including Alessandro Bonacorsi aka "Alle Tattoo," who holds seven Guinness Book of World Records relating to tattooing, and 38-time award winner Zhang Po from China, as well as Long Island and the tri state area's only chance to see a traditional Japanese Tebori tattoo artist in action, coming in direct from Japan just for this event.
Additionally, Sara Blades' Artist Hanger exhibit includes works from both local and international artists; such as Francisco Poblet, the 82 year old world renowned painter from Sicily who spent time under the tutelage of Salvador Dali and several other famous artists in his lifetime, who will be in attendance for the festival.
There's plenty for the kids to do, too!
United Ink will offer face painting (baby's first tattoo!), airbrush tattoos, coloring, a flash art contest and more for the little tattoo fans in your life. The best part? Kids from two to 12 years of age enter the convention for half-price!
You can also listen to some of the best live local bands, shop the jewelry, clothing and craft booths, watch an unbelievable body suspension team, feast your eyes on a real Freak Show or a burlesque show, watch the United Ink Angel Pageant, where judges will be picking the newest Angel to join the ranks under Jackie Rubino and Miss United Ink Heather Moss (famous international tattoo model) and to be featured in a magazine spread, the Ms. Vixen Pin-Up Contest whose winner also receives a magazine spread, the Mr. United Ink Bikini Contest and much, much more.
