Usher Comments on Justin Bieber Racism Controversy...Again

Usher, who discovered Justin Bieber, has spoken out again after old videos of the singer using the "N" word were widely circulated online last week. The Biebs apologized, and many of his black friends, supporters and associates have come to his defense.
Usher posted this photo on Instagram, of him with a young Bieber.
He captioned the photo as follows, unedited by us:
"At my core, I am a person that supports growth and understands without judgement (sic), that growth often comes as a result of pain and continues effort. As I have watched Justin Bieber navigate difficult waters as a young man, I can tell you that he hasn't always chosen the path of his greatest potential, but he is unequivocally not a racist. What he was 5 years ago was a naive child who did not understand the negative power and degradation that comes from playing with racial slurs. What he is now is a young man faced with an opportunity to become his best self, an example to the millions of kids that follow him to not make the same mistakes."
What do you think of Usher's statements? Is this issue going to harm Bieber's career so much so that it cannot be fixed or will it eventually blow over when the next controversy comes down the pike? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below. So many celebs have spoke out about how the rap music genre uses this word and it doesn't become a big deal, but with The Biebs, it is. Others reference the Donald Sterling issue and the Paula Deen drama from last year. There are lots of opinions. We are opening the floor for you to tell us YOURS.
