Valerie Bertinelli Says Christina Aguilera Dissed Her

Actress Valerie Bertinelli, who spent much of her adult life married to axe slinger Eddie Van Halen, says that pop tart Christina Aguilera was rude to her when they had a brief backstage encounter at a Van Halen show in 2004. Okay, while I can understand Val being miffed that Aguilera blew her off on what is largely recognized as her turf, I have a bigger, more confounding question and that is what the hell was Xtina doing at a VH show? That is so not in her wheelhouse whatsoever. I wonder if she even knows anything off the first record. She can't! But that is the perk of being a pop star: you can get backstage to any gig you damn well please.
Bertinelli was quoted as saying, "Christina Aguilera, I met her and she was so mean to me. I thought you know what, forget you. She's too young to be blowing people off. She went to a Van Halen show and I went to go say hi to her. My son was up there, and she's like, 'Yeah, OK, bye.'" Anyone else out there thinking "Ew" over this snub? Bertinelli continued, "As I walked away I said to my friend, 'Did I just get dissed by Christina Aguilera?' and she said 'I think you did!'" Ouch.
Is Val making much adieu about nothing? Or is she owed a big, Jenny Craig diet-sized apology from Miss Aguilera?
