Vanilla Ice Says Justin Bieber Will "Be Forgotten"

Former pop sensation Vanilla Ice revealed that his daughters are fans of Justin Bieber, but said that The Biebs' fame will fade, something he knows about.
"His fans are all kids right now -- 13, 12 years old, whatever. They grow up, and they're in the 5th grade now... When they get into the 11th grade, people don't like the same music that they did in the 5th grade," Ice, born Robert Van Winkle, said in an interview with the Huffington Post. "Then something else new will come along and he'll be forgotten and he can try to put all the pieces back together so it's going to be entertaining to watch."
You know, Ice isn't really too off base there. Just ask any teen idol with an adolescent fanbase that outgrows him or her.
However, the former rapper didn't exactly stand by his comments, issuing at Twitter retraction seeking to clarify the Huffington Post's story. He tweeted: "I think he's talented. What you guys might have picked up on is that I was giving him advice -- when you're a child star, it's hard to figure out your purpose in life."
What do you think of Vanilla Ice's comments and his subsequent retraction?
