Vans x Metallica 20th Anniversary Half Cab Pro Review — 5 out of 5 stars

The partnership between Vans and Metallica has already yielded one incredible shoe collaboration right out of gate. The good news is that there are many more on the horizon too. However, let's start with the Vans x Metallica 20th Anniversary Half Cab Pro though, shall we…
With the timeless Half Cab design, the shoe is immediately comfortable. Whether you're skating, walking around the office, or running outside, the cushioning offers the perfect amount of support. Plus, with the all-black design, you can wear them with pretty much anything, further solidifying that classic nature. On the tongue, there's black on black patch that reads "Half Cab" in the Metallica font with "20 Years" just below, and as soon as you put these on, you'll know why they've been going strong for two decades. The outer side of both shoes brandishes a larger version of that logo too. Just below that on the tongue is a subtle "Metallica" in white, so everyone knows who you're repping…
On the side of the black sole are quotes from Kill 'Em All classic "Motorbreath". One side has "…Those people who tell you not to take chances" and the other says, "They are all missing what life's about". It's that empowering message of living life to the fullest and following your dreams which is emblematic of both Metallica and Vans, and it's artfully woven into the very shoe itself.
On the bottom of the shoes sits what we consider the coolest aspect of these bad boys. The Kill 'Em All hammer and blood cover is beneath the sole in full color. Insanely sick doesn't even begin to describe it…
These are perfect not only for any Metallica or Vans devotee but any sneaker head in general.
Check out the official Half Cab site for more info now.
Also, get ready because Metallica will also unveil a four-piece "Passion Project" collection personally designed by each legendary band member in February as well as a two-shoe salute to Kill 'Em All in March. They look so sick…
The "Passion Project" drops early for Met Club members in January.
