CartVictoria Beckham Launching Eyewear Line in Winter 2013

Fashion trade WWD reports that singer/actress/designer/sourpuss Victoria Beckham is expanding her fashion brand and portfolio with prescription eyewear.
Beckham, aka Posh of Spice Girls (did you see her/them on the Olympics closing ceremony?), is nearsighted, so this is a project near and dear to her heart. She has been on a mission for the perfect prescription frames for quite some time and avoids being photographed in her glasses since she can never find fashionable pairs. She is looking to correct her vision and that fashion conundrum.
"I do need to wear glasses — [but] I haven't found glasses that suit me or that I particularly like," Beckham told WWD. "I've always been quite self-conscious [about this], so that's why I've decided to do them myself."
She has previously launched designer sunglasses, which she is always snapped in.
The frames will be sold at high-end department stores like Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus, and will feature six styles. The overall palette comprised of black, tortoise, topaz, yellow and forest green. All frames are handcrafted Italy and boast a refined, diamond faceted "V."
They will come with $400 price tags, so they are luxe.
"I will be wearing my glasses now, and it will be nice to see where I will be going for once," Beckham said.
Look for the frames at retailers in January and February of 2013.
