The band features Crowded House bassist Nick Seymour.
Tarmac Adam's "Begin to Mend" sees its premiere with us today! The song lives on In Place, out October 2. The band is of note because it's awesome and it features Nick Seymour, bassist of Crowded House.
Of the track, songwriter Matt O'Donnell told us, "In some ways, the mending process is something that is always happening; it is never complete. Mending something doesn't make it 'brand new'; instead a mark is left where the mend has been made. I suppose w'’re all constantly under repair. The mending makes it possible to move forward, to go on. Not broken, not defeated, not perfect. Human."
O'Donnell really gave us something to think about while watching and listening, now didn't he?
As for the visual? Multi-instrumentalist and video director Steve Paix said, "The treatment for the music video was based on the idea that we often think others see us as we see ourselves. We project our internal dialogue on to the outside world; our self-talk becomes the imagined voices of our external critics. We play the role of therapist and client; victim and voyeur; actor and audience. It's not all serious, though – everyone gets over themselves and dances at the end."
