Check out the cool animation and even cooler song.
It's time for you to be exposed to some quality music from the Midwest, no matter your location. These forward-thinking rockers in Ohio Sky are from Cleveland, a fact to which their name should have tipped you off. They have shared their video for "Changing Earth."
The band and its music are progressive, but it's not "prog," since that, friends, can be a dirty word with too many connotations. The music also has lots of roomy, spacey textures. We would have to say that those shapeshifters known as Coheed and Cambria are Ohio Sky's closest sonic relatives. So if you like Co + Ca, then you are going to be bowled over by Ohio Sky.
You know, if you like some of Deftones' more sprawling and artsy tunes, then you will develop a hankering for Ohio Sky, too!
Want another cool fact about Ohio Sky and the "Changing Earth" clip? Well, the video was hand-illustrated by the band's keyboardist Patrick Finegan and reflects the song's sentiments about the world being an ever-changing landscape, with so many mysteries contained within.
There is a lot going on here, both musically and visually. It's the kind of clip that you want to lose yourself in. Why not let Ohio Sky to transport your elsewhere?
There is so much color and movement in the clip, but the song is spacious and sweeping.
So get to know a brand new band and watch a really visually cool video.
