While one might assume Motley Crue singer Vince Neil was drinking too many shots of tequila when he decided which artists he wanted to cover on his new album, Tattoos & Tequila, check your raised eyebrows at the door. Neil will release the album on June 22 and it will include two brand new songs, plus the singer's take on several rock classics, including Aerosmith's "Nobody's Fault"; Elton John's "Bitch is Back"; and Elvis Presley's "Viva Las Vegas." Neil also tackles hits from the likes of Cheap Trick, The Scorpions, The Sex Pistols and Creedence Clearwater Revival on this set.
The lead single will be the title track “Tattoos & Tequila,” which is an original Neil tune.
Neil's bandmate, drummer Tommy Lee, has also resurrected his long-dormant Methods of Mayhem outfit and is working on new material for that release, which he invited fans to contribute to.
Who is your favorite Motley member? Neil or Lee? What about Sixx and Mars? Who wins? If they each had their own t-shirt for sale at the merch booth, whose face would you sport on your chest? Me? I'd go with Mick Mars. How can you not? He maybe considered the ugliest man in rock music, but he's Mick Fucking Mars and he shreds.
