24 x 24 x 24.
Walking Shapes have announced an epic endurance feat sure to leave the city buzzing. They will play 24 shows in 24 hours in 24 locations in New York City, in support of their new EP, Taka Come On [iTunes link].
You can bet they got creative about the when and the where!
The Walking Shapes will hit a myriad of prime New York venues for their tour de force, including a local gym, an NYU classroom, McCarren Park, the subway, a Soho boutique and various stops at well-known restaurants, nightclubs and watering holes including Pianos and Baby's All Right.
Culminating in a closing hour gig with Har Mar Superstar at Bowery Electric, this "love letter to New York" will even include an acoustic performance fueled by a Citibike ride across the Williamsburg Bridge.
So they are involving multiple boroughs? Do it, Shapes! Sounds like a crazy 24 hours lie ahead.
Anyone in NYC plan to see the Walking Shapes pull off this feat? They should do so while wearing Jack Bauer t-shirts. Right?
