War Sues Pepsi

Pepsi is being sued by the band War over the soft drink giant's usage of War's song "Why Can't We Be Friends?" in a new Pepsi national ad campaign. TMZ reports that Pepsi never asked for permission to use the track and as a result, the band is suing the beverage maker for $10 million in damages, as the usage of the song in the commercial is a "deliberate violation" of their licensing arrangements. Ouch.
Something tells me, though, that Pepsi has a massive team of lawyers to fight this suit or to attempt to prove that they followed the rules.
Team Pepsi or Team War?
