Warner Brothers may be riding high on the $200-plus million success of The Dark Knight, but the studio isn't content to sit back and enjoy it. The company has just acquired the rights to Capeshooters, a possible franchise cornerstone. The story is based on a forthcoming graphic novel written by Rob Liefeld, one of the founders of Image Comics.
The film will revolve around two dudes who shoot superhero videos. They find themselves in a bit of a pickle when they discover that one of the treasured superheroes that they track is actually a bad guy. J.P. Lavin and Chad Damiani have been hired to write the screenplay, with Bryan Singer onboard to produce.
