The epic battle between Hollywood heavyweights Warner Brothers and Fox for Watchmen
has been settled. The studios are expected to present details of the settlement to Judge Gary Feess, who previously ruled that Fox had rights to the project, this morning and to request that the case be dismissed.
The terms of the agreement won't be revealed, but insiders are speculating that Fox will be awarded a hefty sum of cash as well as a percentage of the film's box office receipts. Fox won't co-distribute the
film and it won't own any of the property in the future. A joint statement is expected as well.
Watchmen is tentatively still on schedule to hit theaters on March 6.
