Warner Wins Odysseus War
The fighting spirit of Warner Bros. remains undaunted by its legal battles over Watchmen, as the studio has emerged victorious from the bidding war over the script to Odysseus. The script was written by Ann Peacock, who also contributed to the screenplay of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The film will be based on the story of Odysseus, the Greek king of Ithaca who returns home after two decades of battling during the Trojan War. He finds his kingdom in shambles and his wife being attended to by suitors. He is forced to fight to win back his former life, his wife, his son, and his kingdom.Paramount was also in the bidding war for the script. Jonathan Liebesman is scheduled to direct the epic. Liebesman previously directed Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning.
