According to iamROGUE, comedian Zach Galifianakis appears to have been among the most vocal opponent who objected to Mel Gibson's now-canceled cameo as a tattoo artist in the forthcoming The Hangover 2, in which Galifianakis plays a central character. The film's director, Todd Phillips, said that he pulled the Gibson cameo after it became apparent to him that the entire cast and crew were not supportive of the guest spot. Liam Neeson will now play the role.
In a Comedy Death-Ray podcast released last week, Galifianakis alluded to trouble on the set of one of his films. He spoke very cryptically, refusing to reveal names or give details, even of which film he was speaking.
Galifianakis said, "A movie you're acting in, you don't have a lot of control; you just show up and vomit your lines out. I'm not the boss. I'm in deep protest right now about a movie I'm working on, up in arms about something. But I can't get the guys to [listen]. ... I'm not making any leeway." When pressed by the host to cough up more details, Galifianakis said, "It has something to do with a movie I'm working on, yeah. I'll tell you about it later. It's very frustrating."
Do you think Galifianakis was speaking about Gibson and The Hangover 2?
