Watch Chromatics “Shadow” From Twin Peaks

Chromatics are maybe the latest residents of Twin Peaks to stir the attention of fans of the cult of all cult TV series. The band have just shared a new video in which they pay homage to all things Lynchian.
The revival of the TV show — which aired on Showtime last night — was once again filled with the kind frightening, funny, murder, sex and intrigue that fans had been hoping for since news of it's return was first confirmed.
To cap off the show's second episode Chromatics took to the stage at the Roadhouse (a fan-favorite location) to perform a song called "Shadow". The track was originally supposed to appear on the band's long-delayed fifth album, Dear Tommy, before record producer Johnny Jewel destroyed every copy of the episode.
However, much like the revival of the show — which saw some dead character come back to life (maybe) Twin Peaks has also breathed life in the tune and now "Shadow" lives on. Chromatics have shared a new video for the track.
Dressed in suits, and under a haze of light the band plays in front of the iconic red velvet curtains of the Black Lodge.
Earlier this month it was revealed that Jewel had become deeply unsatisfied with Dear Tommy after having a near-death experience which inspired him to destroy every finished version of the album, and to start again. Apparently the whole thing has been remade entirely, with the tracklist remaining the same — which most likely means that this new Twin Peaks flavored track "Shadow" will now be the featured version.
No release date has yet been set for the Dear Tommy, but Jewel recently released his album called Windswept which features new material from Chromatics and Desire, as well as some songs from Twin Peaks.
So — for fans of the cult band and cult TV show — it seems like summer just got weird and wonderful and more full of promise than even the owls could have informed us of.
