Empty Orchestra Videos
Empty Orchestra, who are on Tomas Kalnoky's label Pentimento Music, have released a new music video for their song "The Audience." It was shot at a super interesting venue, The Capitol Theater, a "haunted" building in the band's hometown of Flint, Michigan. Stephen Wisniewski, the leader of Empty Orchestra, said, "This place where we made our video is haunted, in the best and worst senses of the word – it is haunted by Vaudeville; haunted by Greta Garbo; haunted by Black Flag and Fugazi; haunted by Ronald Reagan and gallons of lead paint and miles of leaky pipes."
Their video perfectly reflects the haunted atmosphere, capturing the theater and its new inhabitants (Stephen and his band mates: Vince Moreno, Mark Michalik, Michelle Lukezic, John Duffy, Chris Thibodeau, Nick Mayberry, Brandon Trammell, Ryan Sublett, Pamela Butler, Dave "The K-Man" Kloc, Lance Nelson, and Ryan Gregory). The band worked with close friends to create the most fitting video for their song.
With sounds rooted in the "sometimes uncomfortable" rubbing together of multiple genres such as country, blues, punk, and rock, "The Audience" is an anthem that tugs at the darkness in everyone.
