This Friday, September 16th, Maroon 5's James Valentine will appear on the new AT&T/Audience Network documentary series, "Ernie Ball: The Pursuit of Tone." During the episode, James will trace his journey from Lincoln, Nebraska to the global stage, and discuss what shaped him as a musician, as well as his and Maroon 5's journey to the top. The show will air at 8 pm ET/PT.
In the exclusive clip below, James discusses the 6x-platinum hit "Moves Like Jagger". In the episode, he will also tell the story and creative process behind some of Maroon 5's other biggest hits, including "She Will Be Loved".
Recent episodes of "Ernie Ball: The Pursuit of Tone" have featured blues legend Buddy Guy, Mike Ness of Social Distortion, The Cult's Billy Duffy, singer-songwriter Hunter Hayes, and Tom DeLonge of Blink-182 and Angels & Airwaves.
Maroon 5 last released Singles, a compilation of some of the band's biggest hits, in September of 2015. There has been no announcement on when the next Maroon 5 album could be expected, but Valentine responded to a Facebook question about the yet-unannounced record, "I think all of us want to make a more traditional record next…What do I mean by that? More like the way we made Songs About Jane, just sitting in a room with our instruments and slugging it out. It's been fun to experiment on the last couple of records with the more electronic sounds, but maybe we've gone as far as we can with that for now."
