Jude Cole's Ironworks label has released the debut EP from Wayland. Welcome, Wayland.
Cole has been instrumental in leading the band to find their true roots, and inevitably nurtured the sparks that are quickly becoming pockets of fire in the Midwest. The four-piece rock and roll band from Michigan who, thinking it was the right thing to do, pooled their money and made the leap to pack up the van and move to Los Angeles. While living in LA, playing any gig they could book, they were introduced to Cole, who quickly identified that Wayland belonged in the Midwest. He challenged them to get back to their roots in the heart of Middle America, and after some convincing, they agreed. Soon after moving straight back to their namesake hometown of Wayland, Michigan, everything fell in to place.
