Glee star Naya Rivera, who plays lesbian Santana on the series, has dropped her debut single "Sorry," which is very '90s urban pop. It has a chunky, noisy, trumpeted beat that is mega fucking catchy. But it's also a bit of a diss track that spouts off the names of the exes of her BF, rapper Big Sean, who contributes his rhymes to the song.
Listen to it below:
It inspired one of Sean's exes to react on Twitter, suggesting that it is wrong for Rivera to encourage her fans to take down other women with songs and lyrics. Cat fight ahead.
It's a valid point, but then again, it's also an assertive track that doesn't take the easy way out, tackling comfortable subjects. It suggests some cheating and stealing of one's man and shooting down the drama and the aftermath.
Do you like this sassy track? Is Rivera an alpha dog female? Or do you feel Rivera is setting a bad example for girls, dissing 'em left and right?
