Whitney Houston's Mother Would Not Have Approved of Her Being Gay

Gospel singer Cissy Houston would not have been happy to discover that her late daughter Whitney Houston was gay. The singer, who died last February in Los Angeles, was dogged by rumors about her sexuality all throughout her life, even when she married fellow singer Bobby Brown. It was widely rumored for many years that the diva was a lesbian and in a romantic relationship with her personal assistant Robyn Crawford.
Houston, 79, admitted that rumors that Whit was either gay or bisexual bothered her. She is deeply religious, and said "Absolutely" when asked if she would have minded had she learned her daughter was a lesbian and if the rumor had proven true, which they were not, BTW.
She also said she wouldn't have liked the news.
It was also revealed that Houston's older brother Michael introduced her to hard drugs, which contributed to her later-in-life problems. It was largely assumed that her ex-husband Brown was responsible for getting her hooked on drugs.
