It looks like a new Wilco album is just around the corner. Last week, the indie giants announced they would be following up 2015's Star Wars with what sounds like another new album. From an interview with The Guardian we learned, "Wilco have another one ready to go this year, Tweedy says."
In other Wilco news, the band stopped by NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series to play four songs, "This Joke Explained," "Misunderstood," "I'm Always In Love," and "A Shot In The Arm." The band has spent the last year on and off tour, but they were able to find time for Bob Boilen's series.
The band will be touring extensively this summer. Beginning on June 1st in Charleston, West Virginia, Wilco will be playing multiple gigs in the United states, including stops in Pennsylvania, New York, and the previously mentioned West Virginia show, before heading to Europe. The European leg of the tour begins June 16th in Bergen, Norway and will take the band throughout Europe, with concerts scheduled for Denmark, the Netherlands, Croatia, and many more.
Jeff Tweedy will also be playing multiple U.S. shows. Then he will make appearances in New Zealand, Australia, and Japan. Dates include stops in Three Oaks, Michigan, Chicago, Illinois, Sydney, Australia, and Tokyo Japan.
