Will Arnett, Michael Shannon Get Hexed

Comedian Will Arnett has accepted a role in Jonah Hex, the Warner Bros. and Legendary adaptation of the western-style DC Comic, which features Josh Brolin in the titular role as a scarred bounty hunter during the Civil War period.

Revolutionary Road's Michael Shannon, who went up against Brolin in Milk for the 2008 Best Supporting Actor Academy Award, is also joining the cast.

Arnett will tackle the role of a Union soldier who hires bounty hunter Hex. The role is not said to be comical, which is Arnett's calling card. Shannon will portray Doc Cross Williams, the ringleader behind a gladiator circus event. That character is apparently available to appear in sequels.
