TMZ reports that Willie Nelson's lawyer, Joe Turner, reached an arrangement with prosecutors in a plea deal relating to his November 2010 marijuana bust in Texas. Nelson was carrying six ounces of marijuana and faced two years in the can.
Nelson entered a "no contest" plea recently to a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. In exchange, Nelson will pay a $500 fine, allowing him to avoid serving any jail time.
If Nelson stays clean for 30 days, a judge will dismiss the case entirely.
Do you think Willie Nelson, who has several weed arrests on his record, got a fair shake?
