Willie Nelson, the man, the myth, the legend, sat down with Larry King for the master interviewer's web-only Larry King Now show. During the interview, they discussed everything from the legalization of pot to his famous braids.
Some of Nelson's key quotes?
"I didn't prepare for 80. I didn't think I'd get past 21," he admitted.
"I look at myself as being more of a writer and a guitar player and a singer comes in there a little later on," he said about his skills.
"There's some money there somebody ain't making," the pot proponent said, re: the legalization of pot. "I started out as a kid smoking anything I could get." He smokes because "I felt better, I felt more relaxed." He is also a daily smoker, saying, "I don't think I've missed a day in years." He also said he doesn't recommend it for everyone.
Also, Nelson calls touring and performing live "the best exercise you can get."
As for those famous braids? "It pissed a few people off," he said. His desert island "must haves?" He said, "I'd bring my guitar, my girlfriend, and roll me up a fatty." No shocker there! Willie is nothing if not consistent.
How amaze is Willie Nelson? Right?
