Congrats to Willie Nelson for his forthcoming induction into the Agricultural Hall of Fame in Kansas in recognition of his work for our nation's farmers.
Nelson will be feted at a ceremony on the morning prior to next month's Farm Aid concert in Kansas City. Nelson is founder and president of the annual benefit, which he helped launch in 1985.
Of the honor, Nelson said, "I am extremely honored and humbled to join the company of the 38 prominent inductees already in the Agricultural Hall of Fame. I have long said that family farmers are the backbone of our country. I never thought Farm Aid would need to be around as long as it has been, but we know our country needs family farmers, and Farm Aid will be here as long as family farmers need us."
Thanks for your efforts for farmers, Mr. Nelson. No farms, no food. What have you done to support our national farmers?
