Festival deaths are not uncommon, since many revelers and attendees deal with extreme heat, crowd surges and they sometimes take illicit substances.
There has been a pair of deaths at Glastonbury. One appears to have been of natural causes and is not being treated as suspicious. Meanwhile, another festivalgoer was fighting for his life due to an adverse drug reaction. He has also died.
According to WENN, a woman, 67, died of natural causes, while the man, 26, was in critical condition after the first night of Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, England.
The man took the sedative ketamine, which is a medical anesthetic, just hours after the festival’s kicked off on Wednesday, June 25. He eventually died.
What a shame. It's not smart to take that type of drug, especially before a festival. We get wanting to have a heightened experience, but you can get that without resorting to substance abuse.
