Wyclef Jean Not Approved to Run For President of Haiti

Wyclef Jean's bid to become the President of his native Haiti may have come to an end and it's New Jersey's fault. 'Clef did not make the final list of approve candidates that satisfy all the necessary and legal requirements to run for election for President in the country. And so he is no longer a musician trying to enter the political sphere. Which may or may not be a very good thing.
The primary reason his candidacy was denied is that Jean, 39, is that he resides primarily in New Jersey – and not on the Caribbean island. I live in New Jersey, too.
Should 'Clef be given another chance to run for President of Haiti? Or should he contribute in other ways to the earthquake-ravaged country?
