X x The Roxy x the first four albums x July!
L.A. punk rockers X have confirmed a special four-show engagement at Hollywood's famous Roxy Theatre. Beginning on July 10 and continuing each night through July 13, X will play their first four ground-breaking albums in their entirety, presenting the songs and albums just as they were recorded.
The original line-up of X remains John Doe, Exene Cervenka, Billy Zoom and D.J. Bonebrake. Beginning with the band's debut, Los Angeles, followed by Wild Gift, Under the Big Black Sun and finally finishing the fourth night with More Fun in the New World, the band will play for one hour, each night, rotating by album.
A number of songs have never been performed live but they will all be performed that night! This also means band members will play instruments you've never seen them play before – Billy on sax, DJ on vibes, etc. It's going to be four nights of special music not to be missed!
The last time X played The Roxy was in August of 2012 for the Sunset Strip Music Festival when The Doors' Ray Manzarek joined them on-stage.
X at The Roxy Dates:
Thursday, July 10 X to play Los Angeles
Friday, July 11 X to play Wild Gift
Saturday, July 12 X to play Under the Big Black Sun
Sunday, July 13 X to play More Fun in the New World
Tickets go on sale Friday, May 30th at 10am PT at the Roxy's Ticketfly page.
